This vintage Persian rug holds a classic Hamadan rhythm, structured florals climbing a deep navy field, framed by scrolling vine borders. The coral and rose tones glow against the indigo, giving the whole piece a warmth that reads both formal and familiar.
Hamadan rugs come from one of the oldest cities in western Iran, a long-standing hub of Persian weaving. Many feature the Herati motif — a diamond or rosette framed with leaves and fish, symbolizing water, life, and prosperity. Durable and richly patterned, Hamadan rugs embody the strength and tradition of everyday Persian craftsmanship.

All rugs are professionally cleaned by my suppliers before they are sent to me. They go through another round of light cleaning before I ship them out to you.

I highly recommend getting a rug pad to lengthen your rug's life. To maintain your rug, clean it using a vacuum without a beater bar on a weekly basis:

  • Vacuum the rug on top, then flip it over and vacuum the underside to loosen the dirt and push it toward the floor.

  • Do not use a steam cleaner or harsh chemicals as both can damage the wool fibres in the rug.

  • In case of spills, address them immediately and do not let the stains set. Spot clean the stain with warm water, vinegar, and a few drops of clear dish soap. Be sure to blot and never rub, as that can damage the fibres and make the stain penetrate even deeper.
